Habits That Damage Your Skin

Problems on the skin such as acne, irritation, and so on, do not just appear but are caused by wrong habits. Fix a habit that is bad for the skin. Here are some habits that can aggravate the skin condition.

Not getting enough antioxidants.

Fulfill the skin’s need for antioxidants, at least eat five servings of fruits or vegetables per day. Foods that contain antioxidants provide protection against free radicals, which speed up the breakdown of collagen in skin cells that cause wrinkles and sagging.

The most important antioxidants are vitamins A, C, and E. Use a cream for the skin that contains all three of these vitamins or take vitamin supplements taken orally to rejuvenate the skin from the inside.

In addition, you can also consume green tea which is one of the best sorces of antioxidants, and also acts as an anti-inflammatory.

Using too many beauty products.

The use of various beauty products such as morning creams, night creams, eye creams, serums, fine freckle creams, moisturizers and foundations can leave your skin frustrated and damaged.

The skin can only absorb 50% of what is applied on it, so the excessive use of beauty products and alternating within a day can cause the skin becomes dull.

Too often face scrubing.

Although exfoliation on the face is very important, but not excessive and rough. Peeling or scubing with too strong a pressure and often can cause irritation and trigger acne.

Do not scrub more than once a week. Avoid me products that contain abrasive materials such as almonds. Choose a face wash product made of lighter, natural and soft material.

Skipping the use of sunscreen.

Sunscreen cream is important to provide protection against the dangers of UV rays when you while on the move outside the home. Even sunscreens can protect the skin from lighting effects and radiation from computers in the office that are also damaging to the skin.

Make sure your moisturizer contains at least SPF-15 and contains a natural sun blocker, such as titanium or zinc nxide. These materials can block UVA rays to protect you from aging and UVB rays against sunburn.

Excess caffeine dose.

Dehydration makes the skin dry and dull. so you need to reduce your coffee intake because caffeine in coffee is diuretic and causes too much fluid loss. Other things that are also diuretic like sports drinks, supplements, and certain drugs.

Apply cream on the area around the eyes.

Small white bumps around the eyes, probably due to overuse of the product in the sensitive areas of thin-skinned eyes. The moisturizer can spread to the skin beneath the vulnerable eyes, a small white bump formed by clogged pores.

When that happens, use your ring finger to gently massage the area clockwise for a few nights to open the pores. If the lump becomes large and inflamed, call your dermatologist immediately.

Too stressful.

Stress triggers the adrenal glands to release extra hormone cortisol, which will stimulate the production of sweat and oil, acne, and skin disorders such as eczema. Stress also produces chemicals that contain cytokines that can increase the retention of inflammation and water.

Overcome stress by reducing muscle tension. Relaxing muscles to smooth the flow of blood and make facial skin healthy and free from acne.
